Rachel Firneno
EMDRIA-APPROVED CONSULTANT
Rachel Firneno is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserves based in Lakewood, Colorado. As an EMDR Consultant in Denver, Colorado, Rachel provides individual and group EMDR consultation for therapists seeking certification, bringing both clinical expertise and genuine lived experience to her work with fellow professionals.
Rachel holds a Master of Science from Texas A&M University Central Texas and spent nearly two decades living and working in the Killeen/Fort Hood area before relocating to Colorado in 2019. Military service is woven throughout her life — not only through her own service, but as the wife, daughter, sister, mother, and aunt of service members across multiple branches. This deep connection to military culture shapes the authenticity and depth she brings to her work with veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders.
Her clinical career began in community mental health, working with individuals living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder — an early foundation that deepened her understanding of trauma, PTSD, chronic stress, and identity. She went on to specialize in complex trauma, dissociation, moral injury, and Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES/Functional Neurological Disorder), utilizing EMDR, CBT, and CPT across community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings.
Rachel holds board certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Board Certified–TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and is licensed in Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Florida, Nevada, and Idaho.
As an EMDR Consultant Denver Colorado, Rachel’s consultation approach is collaborative, direct, and shame-free. She fosters a space where curiosity is encouraged, uncertainty is normalized, and clinicians build genuine confidence and competence in EMDR practice.
