Veronica Valiensi
EMDRIA-APPROVED CONSULTANT
Veronica Valiensi is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and Certified EMDR Therapist based in New Castle, Pennsylvania. As an EMDR Consultant in Western Pennsylvania, Veronica brings over 35 years of clinical experience to her work with teens and adults navigating trauma, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and the lasting effects of early and pre-verbal experiences. She practices at Angelus Therapeutic Services, a group counseling practice serving clients in New Castle, Hermitage, and virtually throughout Pennsylvania.
Veronica’s introduction to EMDR began in the early 2000s through training with renowned EMDR clinician Roger Solomon. She completed her EMDR Basic Training in 2021 with Deany Laliotis and has since earned both her EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant designations — weaving somatic and attachment-informed approaches throughout her EMDR sessions to help clients feel as comfortable and resourced as possible in the healing process.
Her clinical training is exceptionally broad. Veronica is trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Inference-Based CBT for OCD, Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, Internal Family Systems (IFS) — having completed a year-long IFS training — Somatic Experiencing (having completed the Advanced year and currently preparing her portfolio for Somatic Experiencing Practitioner certification), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), and suicidality treatment. She is also a trained Certified Rape Crisis Counselor and has specialized training in treating self-injurious behavior through S.A.F.E. Alternatives. Her work with the Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model (TREM) reflects her deep commitment to women’s trauma recovery in community settings.
As an EMDR Consultant in Western Pennsylvania, Veronica believes that healing is never a cookie-cutter process.
