Ann Holland

EMDRIA-APPROVED CONSULTANT

Ann Holland is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), and EMDR Consultant in Michigan serving children, adolescents, families, and clinicians in and around Boyne City in Northern Michigan. As an EMDR Consultant in Michigan, Ann brings over 40 years of clinical experience to her consultation work, offering EMDR consultation groups for therapists seeking to deepen their skills and confidence in the model.

Ann’s commitment to her community is as much personal as it is professional. A lifelong resident of Boyne City, she and her husband raised four children there, and her passion for helping others took root early — as a teenager, when her mother operated an Adult Foster Care home for adults with developmental disabilities. That foundation of care and service has shaped everything since.

Her clinical career has spanned community mental health, substance use treatment, school-based counseling, child welfare and foster care, and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program — giving her a deep, culturally sensitive understanding of the families and communities she serves. She is also a board member of the Boyne Heritage Center and serves in the Community Needs Program at East Jordan Community Church.

Ann’s therapeutic approach is broad and integrative, drawing on EMDR, CBT, Play Therapy, Family Systems, Art Therapy, Christian Counseling, and trauma-focused care. She specializes in complex PTSD, addiction, grief, trauma, and supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents. She also has a strong heart for first responders — a passion rooted in her father’s 21 years as a police dispatcher — and provides Acute Stress Stabilization and Recent Critical Incident support through her practice.

As an EMDR Consultant in Michigan, Ann loves helping fellow clinicians find their footing with EMDR and is honored to pay forward the support she has received throughout her own professional journey.
