Barbara Sheehan-Zeidler

Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Advanced Trainer & EMDRIA Approved Consultant

Graduating from Regis University in 2008, Barbara Sheehan-Zeidler, MA, is a licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of experience. She considers herself a neuro-psychospiritual therapist as she focuses her career on the impact of trauma and healing through the mind-body-spirit connection.

Since 2015, Barbara has been an EMDRIA-approved consultant and since 2014 has been certified in EMDR therapy. Barbara is also certified in Somatic IFS and is Level 2 IFS trained.

Barbara has additional advanced trainings in Polyvagal Theory, Sand Scenes, AEDP, and Natural Processing. She has studied extensively with Deb Dana, Richard Schwartz, Susan McConnell, Craig Penner and others as she craves learning and stretching her personal and professional growth edges.

Whether working with pre-verbal, developmental, or shock trauma, Barbara comes from an attachment-focus, resilience lens and “meets the client where they are” by mindfully combining all that she knows while honoring the 8-phases of EMDR therapy.

“Moment-to-moment attunement” and “trusting the process” are hallmarks of Barbara’s relational, collaborative, holistic style. Whether she’s providing trauma-focused counseling or clinical consulting or speaking at an event, Barbara’s down-to-earth, integrative approach is engaging, informative, and fun. She has a strong instinct and passion for helping others maximize their potential and bravely step into living their lives to the fullest.

While the traditional hourly counseling sessions are offered in Barbara’s practice, she also provides Healing Intensives for those who find this a better option for their healing journey.

When not in the office, Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, upcycling furniture, and exploring Colorado hiking trails.
