Christina Watts-Figeuroa

TRAINER & CONSULTANT

Christina Watts-Figueroa is a Certified EMDR Therapist, Approved Consultant, Facilitator, and Trainer who completed her EMDR training in 2015 during her graduate studies. She has extensive experience supporting military members and their families, particularly within the Fort Cavazos, Texas community, and works with clients across the lifespan, beginning as young as age two.

Christina integrates EMDR with play therapy, expressive arts, sensory-informed practices, and family systems approaches to meet the developmental and relational needs of diverse clients. Her clinical specialties include grief and loss, attachment, military-related concerns, perinatal issues, trauma, and work with neurodivergent individuals and pre-verbal trauma. She brings a flexible, integrative approach to treatment, drawing from modalities such as IFS, Gestalt, and play-based interventions to support individualized healing.

As a consultant and trainer, Christina is passionate about empowering clinicians to build confidence and clinical skill in EMDR. She values the “aha” moments when trainees recognize the adaptability and impact of EMDR in their work and enjoys supporting clinicians as they integrate EMDR with other therapeutic frameworks. Christina also serves as a RESI consultant, supporting BIPOC consultees, and brings warmth, creativity, and clinical depth to EMDR Basic Training and consultation spaces.
