Jacqui Johnson

She is also a certified Brainspotting Consultant and holds advanced training in Art Therapy and Play Therapy through Thomas Jefferson University.

Her clinical expertise is grounded in the intersection of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), racial and social injustice, and the criminal justice system — particularly the pathways of girls and women into incarceration. Jacqui provides individual and group psychotherapy through Sankofa Healing Studio in Philadelphia and has facilitated trauma-informed training for the Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney’s Office, Temple University Law School, and Drexel University Law School, among others.

A sought-after speaker and educator, Jacqui has presented at national conferences including the Expressive Therapies Summit, the Beyond the Walls Prison Healthcare and Reentry Summit, and the AJFO Conference. She has also been a recurring guest on WURD Radio discussing mental health within the Black community.

Jacqui earned her M.S. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College with a 4.0 GPA and dual concentrations in Trauma Studies and Diverse & Underserved Communities.
