Nancy Lasater is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clinicians and clients in North and South Carolina. Nancy holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and spent 27 years on the Intensive Family Therapy Team at Boulder County Department of Social Services in Colorado, providing trauma treatment to families involved in child protection and the juvenile justice system. She went on to specialize in military trauma, serving active duty soldiers and their families at the Warrior Support Center near Ft. Carson, Colorado, and was among the EMDR therapists who staffed the first Warrior Camp® in 2013 — an intensive residential program for veterans combining EMDR, equine therapy, and yoga.

Nancy is a published author and the creator of the EMDR Certification Handbook: A Complete Guide for Consultants, CITs, and Consultees to Fulfilling EMDR Therapy Certification Requirements, released in 2024 and available on Amazon. She is a member of EMDRIA and the International Society for the Study and Treatment of Dissociation (ISSTD), and has completed an extraordinary depth of advanced EMDR training — including specialized work in dissociation, early trauma, DID, addictions, pre-verbal trauma, OCD, and somatic approaches.
