The EMDR Therapy Protocols for Early Intervention & Ongoing Traumatic Stress Training can teach you an Adaptive Information Processing (AIP)-informed psychophysiological algorithmic procedures (ASSYST) specially designed for clients that present intense or overwhelming sensory input, body sensations, or emotions. It can also teach you the EMDR-PRECI and the EMDR-IGTP-OTS – which are both advanced EMDR protocols.
Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization (ASSYST) Procedure On Demand Training
The Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization Remote (ASSYST-R) Procedure On Demand Training can teach you an Adaptive Information Processing (AIP)-informed psychophysiological algorithmic procedure specially designed for clients that present intense or overwhelming sensory input, body sensations, or emotions that can be used online/remotely for clients who cannot receive assistance otherwise.
EMDR Basic Training Parts I and II
The EMDR Basic Training Parts I and II includes Part I (3-days) and Part II (2-days), each of which are either online live or in-person training sessions and practicums, as well as 10 hours of consultation on EMDR Therapy, and reading an EMDR Therapy book by Francine Shapiro. This EMDR training is EMDRIA-Approved.
EMDR-IGTP-OTS-Remote On-Demand Training
During the EMDR-IGTP-OTS-Remote On-Demand Training you will observe a demonstration of the EMDR-IGTP-OTS Remote procedure, along with Q&As, documents and other supporting materials.
EMDR Therapy Refresher Course
During the EMDR Therapy Refresher Course you will learn a review of the EMDR Basic Training material through lecture and practicum. For the second half of the day, participants will be matched in triads to practice the EMDR Basic Training protocol. This course can also be taken online, on demand at your own pace with no live practicum.
EMDR Intensives Course
The EMDR Intensives Course is an on demand training for EMDR clinicians to learn ways to conduct EMDR therapy in an intensive format with clients.
Hive Teachings
The Hive is an online training community & Continuing Education provider for mental health therapists creating systemic change and large-scale impact through: humanitarian work, rapid response teams, trauma recovery interventions, research, social justice and anti-oppression work.
Retreats
The Retreats consist of: EMDR Basic Training Retreats; EMDR Intensives Retreats; and the Be Bold Retreat. These are either in-person or live online. They vary between 1-7 days in length. Cost includes some lodging and food but no travel. Information varies per retreat and details can be found on the website.
Demonstrations & Practicum Risks
During all Scaling Up Trainings you will observe demonstrations or participate in practicum experiences to practice the procedures and protocols taught in the trainings above. These demonstrations and practicums are designed to stimulate the receiving person which may also stimulate observers. The procedures and protocols used in the trainings above haven’t been sufficiently tested to identify all potential side effects or negative reactions that may result from its use or observation of its use. If you are at all concerned about such side effects or reactions, you should consult your own physician or therapist to determine if any Scaling Up Trainings would be appropriate for you.
In consideration of your attendance at any Scaling Up Training (“Trainings”) listed above, you hereby agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company putting on the Scaling Up Trainings (Scaling Up, LLC), its owners hired trainers, and your fellow attendees at the Training, from any and all liability occurring during your attendance at the Trainings. In particular, you acknowledge that you will not hold the Company liable for any expenses, bodily, mental or personal injuries that you sustain as a result of your attendance at or participation in the Trainings. Furthermore, you acknowledge that you are aware of and understand that your attendance and/or participation in the Training entails certain anticipated and unanticipated risks, and you assume all risks associated therewith as your responsibility.
The terms and conditions of this Participant Waiver shall be legally binding upon the undersigned and their respective estate, representatives and assigns. I hereby acknowledge my voluntary and informed assumption of full responsibility and liability regarding any injuries that I may incur coincident to my participation in these Trainings. I hereby assume any and all risks associated with the Trainings and expressly waive, release, discharge and hold harmless Scaling Up, LLC, its owners, hired trainers, and my fellow attendees, from and against any and all expenses, property damage, and/or injuries sustained that arise out of, in association with, or related in any way to my participation in these Trainings.
These trainings and information by www.ScalingUpEMDR.com are sold on the understanding that the creator (Kelly Smyth-Dent) and other trainers (Dr. Ignacio Jarero, Elizabeth Legg, Sandra Baita, Sadie Smith, Viviana Triana, Tim Eby-McKenzie, Jaqui Johnson, Claudia Mustafa, Paula Moreno, Hive teachers, Be Bold Summit speakers) and contributors quoted in the material or presented in the trainings are opinions expressed solely of the presenter.

All people trained by Scaling Up LLC or providing services through a contract with Scaling Up LLC are legally liable and responsible for their actions and services provided under their own individual and business malpractice and professional liability insurance. Scaling Up will not be held responsible for the services provided and actions of individuals.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests for Training must be received in writing by emailing info@scalingupemdr.com or postmarked by 30 days out from meeting for the training. A cancellation fee of $100.00 (or full registration amount, whichever is less) will be deducted from the refund. In lieu of a refund, you may also request a voucher for participation in a future meeting taking place within 12 months.
Registrants wishing to cancel may instead transfer their registration to someone else without penalty if they send a written request with the replacement person’s name by 5-days before meeting/training start date.
Cancellations received after date of event will be issued a voucher for participation in a future meeting. If you do not cancel in advance, no refunds will be issued once the event has concluded, regardless of whether you participated in the event.
Cancellations for hotel and transportation reservations must be handled by the individual registrant directly with the hotel, airline, and/or other company. Credit vouchers may be offered should the program be suspended or shortened due to conditions or circumstances beyond Scaling Up’s control, including but not limited to weather, interruptions in internet services, power outages and any cancellations/modifications related to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Refunds are not issued for on-demand trainings.
Force Majeure
If Scaling Up LLC is prevented from carrying out its obligations as it pertains to the Training you registered for as a result of any cause beyond its control, or such Conference cannot be held or does not occur due to acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government requisitions, restrictions or regulations on travel, hotel or facility availability, commodities or supplies, war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”) Scaling Up LLC will refund the cost of registration. However, Scaling Up LLC does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging. Refunds will be processed within 60 days of notification.
If the Trainings are postponed due to a Force Majeure occurrence before the first day of the Conference, then Scaling Up LLC will reschedule the affected Training, if and as practical under the circumstances, and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled Training. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled conference, then you may transfer the registration fee you paid, upon written notification to Scaling Up LLC management, towards another Scaling Up LLC Training, which is scheduled to held within 12 months from the date of the affected Training. Scaling Up LLC reserves the right, at its discretion, to approve or deny such registration fee transfer requests. If there is a difference in the registration fees between the affected Training and the alternative Training, the difference in the registration fees will be charged or refunded, as applicable, on the credit, you used to register for the affected Training.
Health and Safety
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus at Scaling Up LLC has been the health and safety of our customers, staff, and communities. Vaccinations have reduced many of the COVID-19 guidelines/mandates regarding face masks, social distancing, and travel. In many states and cities, guidelines/mandates have been completely eliminated.
As Scaling Up LLC moves forward with producing live meetings and conferences, we will continue to monitor the continually evolving guidance released by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as all federal, state, and local government mandates, to provide an environment that is as safe as possible for all event participants.
For live trainings, Scaling Up LLC allows the trainer of that event to decide whether or not a COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend the training live. This is to ensure the safety of the trainer, their families and participants. If a participant wants to attend live, but is not fully vaccinated before the live Training, then we ask that you refrain from attending in-person, and rather attend through live streaming online (when available) or through our on-demand Training.
By participating in person, I agree to follow the meeting’s health and safety policies as mandated by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the federal, state, and local government.

You will have access to all course materials 90 days after the last Q&A session is scheduled (for On-Demand + Live Q&A Trainings) or 90 days after purchase (for on-demand only trainings). After 90 days, you will be given the option to continue to receive access to the course materials for $40 per month, until you cancel.
Acceptance
By registering for and attending Scaling Up LLC events, I hereby agree that I accept the terms stated above and indemnify and hold harmless Scaling Up LLC, its affiliates, and their respective directors, employees, and agents (including, without limitation, any agent acting on its behalf) from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from attendance at Scaling Up LLC events.
