Paula Soto
EMDRIA-APPROVED CONSULTANT
Paula Soto is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, Certified EMDR Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT, YACEP) based in Beaver, Pennsylvania. As an EMDR Consultant in Pennsylvania, Paula is the founder and owner of Intersections Wellness and Intersections Wellness Intensive Treatment — a specialized practice dedicated to adjunct intensive EMDR therapy, trauma-focused yoga, consultation, and continuing education for clinicians.
Paula brings over two decades of experience empowering individuals and communities toward healing and wellness. Her EMDR training, certification, and consultant pathway were completed through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness (ICM), and her advanced training in trauma-focused intensives was pursued through the Trauma Institute & Child Trauma Institute (TICTI). She has served as an Advanced Topics Trainer with ICM and as Ethics Panel Co-Chair at TICTI’s Inaugural Intensives Conference — reflecting her deep commitment to ethical, client-centered standards in complex trauma treatment. She is also part of a national team developing a groundbreaking program to expand access to trauma-focused intensives while elevating ethical standards across the profession.
Paula is licensed in both Pennsylvania and South Carolina and works adjunctly — meaning her EMDR intensive clients maintain a primary therapist — allowing for deep, focused trauma processing alongside ongoing therapeutic support. Her clinical specialties include complex trauma, sexual trauma and abuse survivorship, dissociation, pre-verbal and early trauma, attachment, ego state therapy, and the integration of trauma-focused yoga into EMDR Phases 2, 7, and as an interweave. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience as an abuse survivor and neurodivergent person to her work.
As an EMDR Consultant in Pennsylvania, Paula offers individual and group consultation with a mentorship-centered approach — passionate about the ripple effect that skilled, confident EMDR therapists create in the world.
