Private Group Trainings for the ASSYST, PRECI, and IGTP

With this stepwise approach, you will be able to provide in-person critical care, rapid response, or early intervention. These protocols and procedures are the most heavily researched in the early intervention and ongoing traumatic stress field. You’ll be able to use this in your private practice or in the field to treat individuals and groups living with recent, present, or past prolonged adverse experiences.

Purpose

This offering is available if you want to customize your training experience by having an intimate training group setting. The pricing reflects the trainer costs, along with administrative fees and the unique experience. The pricing also includes Continuing Education (CE) credits for each person in the training. Who is eligible?

Our intended audience are therapists who have completed an EMDRIA or EMDR Iberoamerica-Approved Basic Training. People only trained in EMDR by PESI are not eligible for the training.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the AIP-theoretical model and the relationship between this model and the human nervous system.
  • Describe what clinician should do during critical care, rapid response or early intervention and the neurophysiological reasons.
  • Explain the relationship between the Polyvagal theory and the co-regulation, and how clinicians can keep a physiological non-anxious presence to help the clients co-regulate.
  • Describe our AIP-informed treatment procedures and protocols in the context of local and international disaster response.
  • Explain the ASSYST procedures definition, references, objectives, and the rationale for their specific design to address Acute Stress Disorder (ASD), and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) intrusion symptoms.
  • Explain the ASSYST treatment procedures from the AIP-perspective.
  • Utilize the ASSYST-Individual procedure in a practice scenario with a partner to prepare for using with real clients after the training or by observing a demonstration (if taking the course on demand).
  • Use the ASSYST-Group procedure in a practice scenario with a partner to prepare for using with real clients after the training or by observing a demonstration (if taking the course on demand).
  • Define Early Psychological Interventions, the three types of PTSD diagnosis prevention, how can we identified those at risk to develop PTSD, Early and Ongoing Traumatic Stress (prolonged adverse experiences) clinical presentations.
  • Describe the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model based Acute Trauma and Ongoing Traumatic Stress Theoretical and Case Conceptualization (Jarero & Artigas, Sixth Edition, 2022).
  • Utilize the EMDR-PRECI in a practice scenario with a partner to prepare for using with real clients after the training.
  • Utilize the EMDR-IGTP-OTS in a practice scenario with a partner to prepare for using with real clients after the training.

Continuing Education Credits

EMDRIA CEU’S

This training provides a certificate for 14 CEU’s. These CEU’s will be provided by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and EMDR México. It is necessary to participate in 100% of the training to receive the credits of Continuing Education. A certificate for these CEU’s is included in the price of the training. ​

CE’s FOR LICENSE RENEWAL

Licensure renewal CE’s are included in the group registration fee for this training. Scaling Up offers 10 CEs for Psychologists through the American Psychological Association (APA), 15 Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) continuing education credits and 15 National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) clock hours. It is the responsibility of the therapist to check with their licensure board for CE eligibility.

National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC): Scaling Up, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7065. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Scaling Up, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Psychotherapists completing this course will receive 15 continuing education credits.

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB): Scaling Up (provider number 1834), is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provisional regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Scaling Up maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period; (12-06-22 to 12-06-23). Social workers completing this course receive 15 asynchronous continuing education credits.

American Psychological Association (APA): Scaling Up, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Scaling Up, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Psychologists completing this course receive 10 continuing education credits.
