Eleni Sexton, MS, LCSW provides trauma-informed care, consultation, supervision, and training through her private practice in Reno, NV. She is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant with a focus on the treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders.

Before moving to private practice in 2022, Eleni served as a trauma specialist for eight years, and as the Director of Behavioral Health for two years, at Northern Nevada HOPES, a federally qualified health center serving underserved populations. As Director, Eleni developed a model for integrating behavioral health into primary health care with a focus on delivering trauma-informed wrap-around care to members of diverse populations including (but not limited to) people experiencing homelessness and serious mental illness, people living with HIV/AIDS, and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. In her clinical work at Northern Nevada HOPES, Eleni provided psychotherapy in English and Spanish, as well as advocated for clients’ rights via collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

As a trainer, Eleni has provided training for licensed clinicians and interns, employees of the Nevada Department of Corrections, and members of the Nevada Bar Association on the topics of trauma-informed care and vicarious trauma. In all her work, Eleni utilizes an integrative, science-based approach that includes a wide array of treatment lenses and modalities, including neuroscience, attachment theory, structural dissociation, ego state therapy, guided imagery, and the expressive arts.
