Sandra Baita is a clinical psychologist, child therapist, and EMDR consultant specializing in childhood dissociation, graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with over 15 years of experience in child abuse assessment and treatment. From the beginning of her career she was interested in the field of child abuse and so she spent 15 years working in three different public agencies, navigating the complex waters of the assessment of child sexual abuse, the treatment of pregnant teenagers coming from abusive environments and the crisis intervention with children living in a shelter for women victims of domestic violence.

Her main area of expertise came from her early work with childhood dissociation that led her to get in contact with the main leaders in the field. She is a Fellow member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), a member of the Child & Adolescent Committee of the same organization (until its dissolution in 2022), and Faculty Trainer of two courses on Childhood Dissociation (one in English and one in Spanish). As an EMDR consultant in childhood dissociation, Sandra offers consultation to clinicians worldwide who are navigating the complex intersection of trauma, abuse, and dissociative presentations in children and adolescents.
