Viviana Triana, EMDRIA Consultant Immigrant Trauma, Dallas Texas

Viviana Triana

TRAINER & CONSULTANT

Viviana Triana is an EMDRIA-approved consultant for immigrant trauma based in Dallas, Texas, where she has dedicated her career to serving children, teens, adults, and families who have experienced trauma. Since 2008, she has worked in some of the most demanding clinical settings — including rape crisis centers and domestic violence programs — bringing both clinical expertise and deep cultural understanding to her work with survivors.

Viviana’s commitment to the immigrant community is a defining thread throughout her professional life. She was the co-founder of the Ruth Project, a center that provided specialized support for immigrant victims of crime, ensuring that one of the most underserved and vulnerable populations in the United States had access to trauma-informed care. This advocacy work reflects her belief that healing is a human right — regardless of immigration status, language, or cultural background.

Throughout her career, Viviana has worked consistently to promote education and awareness of the unique difficulties that immigrant families face in navigating systems of care in the United States. Her clinical work bridges cultural humility with evidence-based trauma treatment, making her consultation particularly valuable for therapists who serve diverse, multilingual, or immigrant populations.

As an EMDRIA-approved consultant for immigrant trauma, Viviana brings over 15 years of frontline clinical experience to her consultation practice. Clinicians working with survivors of sexual violence, domestic abuse, or immigration-related trauma will find in Viviana a consultant who deeply understands the intersecting layers of trauma, systemic marginalization, and cultural identity that shape her clients’ healing journeys.

Her work as a trainer and consultant extends her impact beyond the therapy room, equipping other clinicians with the tools and cultural competence needed to serve immigrant and trauma-affected communities with skill and sensitivity. Viviana’s passion for this work is evident in everything she does — from direct client care to clinical education and advocacy.
